Football Knowledge is built for anonymous play. You do not need an account, and we do not connect email subscriptions with quiz activity.
What we collect
The app does not collect product-measurement events such as page views, quiz starts, completions, returns, shares, answer rates or format preferences. There is no analytics script, advertising pixel, fingerprint, cross-site identifier or analytics database.
Advertising space
Advertising is currently disabled, including the advertising placeholder boxes. No advertiser is connected and no advertising requests are made. We will update this notice before any advertiser is connected.
Progress on your device
Resumable quiz attempts and daily progress are kept in this browser so you can continue a game and see your local progress. That data stays in same-origin browser storage until you clear the site data. If browser storage is unavailable, a first-party fallback cookie may keep the same resumable state for up to 30 days. It is not an account identifier, is not used to compare players and is not sent to an analytics service.
Email subscriptions
Signing up is optional and based on your consent. After you confirm, we use your email address and consent record to send at most one daily message with the day’s three games, one selected teaser and a link to play. Resend processes the address and message to deliver confirmation and daily emails. We do not request open or click tracking, personalise quizzes, or connect your subscription with starts, completions, answers, scores, streaks or return visits. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link. Unconfirmed signup details are deleted after 7 days, with only an anonymous daily count kept. While you are subscribed, we retain your address and consent record. After you unsubscribe, or if an address bounces or a complaint is recorded, we remove the address and keep a keyed suppression record so we can honour that choice; we review suppression records every 12 months and delete those no longer needed. We retain minimal consent and unsubscribe evidence for 12 months after a subscription ends. Subscriber-linked delivery and webhook records are kept for 12 months after each event, then removed; anonymous campaign counts may be kept for up to 24 months.
Hosting and service operation
The site is intended to run on Cloudflare. Like any hosted website, the hosting provider may process ordinary request and security telemetry needed to deliver and protect the service. Football Knowledge does not read or export that provider telemetry as product analytics; deployment and recovery checks define the operational access and retention before launch.
What this means
We will not claim to know how many people played, completed, returned or shared from the initial launch. Availability checks, manual editorial review and direct reports are the initial evidence. We will review whether population measurement is needed 30 days after launch, or earlier if a specific decision requires it.
